The Club
The Hellenic Cultural and Educational Club for UNESCO is a non-profit organization founded in 2018 based in Athens. The Club aspires to contribute to the dissemination of the work and programs of the international organization of UNESCO for the promotion of culture, education and science.
The aim is to raise the awareness of the world community and especially of young people on issues of peace, democracy, equality, freedom, acceptance of diversity and human rights.
The Hellenic Cultural and Educational Club for UNESCO, in collaboration with international and Greek organizations as well as educational institutions from around the world, hopes to make a decisive contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, as described in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015.
Goals achievement
According to its statute, the Club attempts to promote and achieve its goals with actions and means such as the following:
- Organization of cultural events, seminars, conferences, workshops, lectures, symposia, exhibitions and events in general in Greece and abroad.
- Production or participation in it and distribution of products relating to its activities, such as books, videos, printed material, bulletins, magazines, presentations on the Internet, etc.
- Organization of information campaigns on national or international level in collaboration with other organizations
- Establishing partnerships with educational and cultural institutions in Greece and abroad
